For generations, the horse racing community has come to know one of the longest standing traditions in Canada, The Queen’s Plate. This horse racing event is like none other and is the longest, continuously run race in North America. When Woodbine was looking to rebrand the event after the passing of the Queen, they turned to us and we got to work. Our team designed a concept that honoured the past, but looked to the future, and our broadcast spot was born. Shot entirely on location and in only a few weeks, our team sourced real archived footage from generations past, antique film feels that turned and produced images, and we couldn’t be more proud of this piece. The King’s Plate is a special event that honours horse racing in Canada, and to introduce the succession of that great event, was an incredible honour.
